National Museum of Qatar
The National Museum of Qatar stands high above the water at the edge of the city, overlooking Doha's bay. Its exterior is reminiscent of a large desert rose formed from huge blocks of sand built to create an interior volume consisting entirely of expansive circular disks that connect together to create one large volume (approximately 52,000 square meters). The museum incorporates into its final design the restored Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani Palace, which provides a central point to connect all Qatari culture into one dimensionally connected structure. The central area contains eleven exhibit spaces (each covering an entire disk) that display Qatar's historical journey from a nomadic lifestyle to a major force in global business through multimedia exhibits, including photographs, videos, recorded oral histories, and audio stories created or recorded by residents of Qatar. The central courtyard serves as a venue for cultural programs under the striking overhanging slabs.
Doha Corniche
With a gentle curve and a stretch of almost 7 kilometres along Doha Bay, Doha Corniche makes a journey in perfect symmetry from the West Bay business towers all the way to the Museum of Islamic Art's dhow harbour. At sunset, when the glass-canvas skyscrapers glow against the waters of the Arabian Gulf, it has the best reflection of the Doha skyline. There is an attached pedestrian walkway and cycling path parallel to the road along the Corniche, making it perfect for jogging early in the morning or taking a leisurely stroll in the evening. Nearby, traditional wooden dhows can be seen around the marina of the Corniche, providing short boat rides. Landscaped parks, manicured lawns, and public art give the Corniche character, while the nearby dhow port provides a connection to the city's heritage.
Museum of Illusions Doha
The Museum of Illusions Doha is located in the Gate Mall, West Bay. There are more than 70 exhibits that experiment with science, mathematics, psychology, and optical illusions. The Infinity Room makes you feel like you are in a space that continues indefinitely. The Tilted Room causes you to experience gravity differently, and the Vortex Tunnel will make you feel unsteady because you will believe the ground is moving. There are holograms, reverse spaces, and unique games of perspective where you'll be challenged to think about how your mind processes what your eyes see. It's open every day from 9 am until 10 pm and from 1 pm on Fridays.
Souq Waqif
A living museum of Qatari culture can be found at Souq Waqif, located in the centre of Doha. Souq Waqif features mud-rendered walls, exposed timber beams, and traditional Qatari architecture that were restored in 2006, located next to the dry riverbed of Wadi Musheireb. Souq Waqif is a labyrinth of alleyways overflowing with the scent of cardamom and oud, filled with shops selling Iranian saffron, handmade textiles, Bedouin-style cloaks, and beautiful gold jewellery. The Falcon Souq, located directly beside the Art Centre, displays the prized falcons that are a vital part of Gulf culture, while the Art Centre highlights the talent of local artisans. Shisha smoke rises above the café terraces in Souq Waqif, and the relaxing sounds of Arabic conversations around you mix with the sound of horses trotting from the stables next door.
Doha Quest
Doha Quest, located on Al Khaleej Street, is a 32,000-square-foot indoor amusement park that features over 30 rides throughout its 3 themes: Oryxville for Past Time, City of Imagination for Present Time, and Gravity for Future Time. Museum of Islamic Art
The Museum of Islamic Art, located along Doha's Corniche on a man-made island, is one of the best Doha attractions. The museum is inspired by 7th-century Islamic architecture, especially the Ibn Tulun Mosque, with its use of clean lines and stacked limestone blocks. The museum is also home to one of the largest collections of Islamic art in the world, with pieces dating back over 1,400 years, including Qur’anic manuscripts, Iznik ceramics, Safavid textiles, Mughal miniature paintings, metalwork from Spain, and Central Asia. Upon entering the museum, you will be greeted by the grandeur of the atrium and the fascinating view of the Doha skyline through the atrium windows. The waterfront park and library that surround the museum provide additional context.

Adjacent to the amphitheater is the Katara Mosque (designed by Zeynep Fadıllıoğlu) with its unique turquoise and purple tile mosaics, and the nearby Golden Mosque has spectacular gold tile accents. The Opera House is home to the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (550 seats), while approximately 430 seats are available at the Drama Theatre for theatrical productions and film screenings. There are approximately 1.5 kilometers of beaches at Katara Beach, which offer a full range of water sports, including sailing or parasailing in the Arabian Gulf, jet skiing, and cruises. Other attractions at this waterfront cultural site include pigeon towers, al fresco art galleries, and approximately 38,000 square feet of retail space located on the 21 High Street promenade.
The Pearl-Qatar
The Pearl Island, located off the coast of Doha, spans four million square meters of land. This island was designed in the style of the Riviera, with marinas, pastel buildings, and waterfront walkways dotting the landscape. The island is situated at one of Qatar’s historical pearl diving sites and consists of several precincts, including Porto Arabia (home to luxury yachts) and Qanat Quartier (known for its colourful canals and pedestrian bridges). Luxury boutiques, famous designers' shops, and al fresco dining are located along the marina promenade, while residential high-rises offer magnificent views of the Gulf. From sunset cruises on traditional wooden boats to oceanside fine dining, The Pearl Island combines contemporary urban design elements with subtle nods to history.

Gondolania, a fully themed indoor amusement park, includes rides such as roller coasters and laser tag at the same location as a bowling alley and an Olympic-sized ice skating rink.
